AICN® is the first and only educational program of its kind.
AICN® provides graduate-level clinical education to post-baccalaureate students in the academic and clinical aspects of monitoring neural functioning during invasive surgical procedures. AICN®also offers experienced clinical neurophysiologist with an opportunity to build on their existing knowledge and skill to attain a graduate professional degree.
AICN®, The Atlanta Institute of Clinical Neuroscience, is the education and training company within the NeuroMatrix®Group. AICN® was the first and remains the only entity to award a Master's Degree in IONM (Masters in Clinical Neuroscience), and has the most successful and most recognized board review course in the industry having trained more than 10% of the existing Board Certified clinicians in the field. Our instructor base is diverse and well educated in the basic sciences (anatomy, pharmacology, etc) as well as the clinical sciences, and consists of MDs, DABNMs, and other top professionals from clinical healthcare and the sciences. AICN® also offers our continuing education and training workshops both online through a digital course management system that allows classes to be done at any time and in person workshops for the latest in hands on learning from the experts in the field.
AICN® was established to educate and train neurophysiologists capable of monitoring surgical cases of the highest complexity. AICN® is the only institution of its kind providing both continuing education and graduate level education in clinical neuroscience. Through providing education and training for the most up-to-date clinical practice of Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring. AICN® is creating new standards for IONM.
One of the objectives of the AICN® program is to Inculcate in each student the importance and necessity of consumptive research to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of advances in the theory and practice of clinical neurophysiology and the clinician's obligation to conduct research to contribute to that advancement. A part of this goal is the expectation that each participant will develop a research project suitable for publication in a professional journal.
Graduate Level Education and Training
Atlanta Institute of Clinical Neuroscience was incorporated in 2000 and authorized by the state of Georgia to award a professional master’s degree, the first entity ever to award an advanced degree in Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring, the Master’s in Clinical Neuroscience.
The efficacy of the AICN® formal education and training program has been proven by the clinical accomplishments of the participants, and its success is further demonstrated by a 100% pass rate on the two national board exams in the field of IONM.
