Southern Neuro®, setting the standard

Our motivation and ultimate reward comes from helping hospitals provide genuine benefits to their patients and surgeons.

Best Practices

NeuroMatrix® is at the forefront of Best Practices in IONM. We provide the most innovative and cost effective medical care for every patient we serve. Our medical guidelines for Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring and education are based on examination of current best practices within the paradigm of evidence-based medicine. Our clinical guidelines standardize the way NeuroMatrix® provides medical care to ensure consistent quality of care and to reduce risks to patients.

We recognize the vital role of the entire healthcare team, medical insurers and health plans alike.

The Best Practice Committee of NeuroMatrix®, comprised of senior clinicians and our medical director, operates under the QA/QI officer and in conjunction with the education and support teams to achieve all objectives. Feedback is given bi-directionally in each working relationship. We channel all relevant findings gathered by the QA/QI team through the Best Practices Committee for continuous review and adjustment of our practices and conduct a total practice review annually. The ultimate focus is always patient centered ensuring innovative and safe care to each of our patients.

A total practice review is conducted yearly by the NeuroMatrix® QA/QI team. All documents and reports collected and/or generated by QA/QI activities throughout the year are examined. We focus on the key controllable measures of quality, efficiency, cost effectiveness, exceptionality and accessibility. The results from this review are collated and disseminated in general (specifics where needed) at the annual company staff meeting. This brings the QA/QI process at NeuroMatrix® full circle. We believe in integration and innovation in order to consistently achieve the Neuromatrix® quality that our customers, our patients and their generational families have come to expect.

Our commitment to "Best Practices" includes understanding our partner physicians and hospitals. We explore each new partner organization’s mission and values, policies and procedures to learn how we can be the best support to our partners, an important aspect of our service and patient care. In our experience, such collaboration improves quality and ensures that we work within the highest standards for each and every organization/community in which we practice.
