Certification and Accreditation
100% of the NeuroMatrix® clinical staff is board certified.
The American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) grants the Certification in Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM).
The American Society of Neurophysiological Monitoring (ASNM) awards the Diplomat of the American Board of Neurophysiologic Monitoring (D.ABNM).
NeuroMatrix® clinical staff members are educated and trained through a sixteen month long formal professional graduate program. Board Certification is a requirement of employment within 6 months of becoming a clinician as the exam is given only twice per year. “Board Eligible” is not a euphemism for not certified. Many of our clinicians hold graduate degrees and diplomas beyond their required undergraduate science diplomas.
All NeuroMatrix® clinical staff (CNIM and/or D.ABNM) meet the strictest standards of education, training, and credentialing in the industry.
Credentialing
We are committed to providing quality healthcare in compliance with all policies and regulations set forth by applicable federal, state, and local agencies as well as those standards outlined by the professional societies and organizations in our field.
The NeuroMatrix® Credentialing Office maintains records of all clinical staff including clinicians and physicians and we are participating members of the major online credential certification programs. Hospitals may choose to maintain portfolios of clinical staff on site as well.
Prior to implementing clinical services at each facility, NeuroMatrix® completes credentialing applications and complies with individual facility requirements for clinicians and interpreting physicians. Our required records include:
- Background check
- 10 panel drug screen
- Physical health exam
- TB/PPD two step test
- CPR American Heart Association
- HIPAA training
- Blood borne pathogen training
- Age Specific Competency Check List
- Annual Competency Evaluation
- Annual Peer Evaluation
- Inoculations/Proof of Immunity: Varicella, Hepatitis B, MMR, Tetanus, Influenza
Through our data base, we also monitor applications, privileges, and expiration dates for each clinician’s records. Facility and system based reports are provided upon request.
